Medical students and professionals often have a natural desire to make a positive impact through their work in healthcare. However, once volunteers realize the cost of going, they opt out. We believe that traditional organizations underestimate the true cost of volunteering and consequently expect volunteers to bear all the expenses.outstanding results for our clients.

The first example, detailed below, involves a journey to Africa not organized by our group. From this experience, we gained valuable insight and developed a patient care approach to implement in future mission trips. We plan to use this enhanced model on our upcoming mission trip.

500 individuals treated + follow-up treatment plans delivered by only 2 providers

SIERRA LEONE, AFRICA

DURATION: 14 Days

TRAVEL DAYS LOST: 2 Days

Risks:

Malaria, yellow fever, food-borne illness, poverty threat

Impact:

12 providers treated an estimated 254 individuals with no follow-up treatment plans
